Biography

Ruth Aliu is a cybersecurity professional and entrepreneur with over a decade work experience in technology support, security operations, infrastructure security, engineering program management and compliance across different industries. She is the founder of Techity Consulting, an IT consulting firm that offers website maintenance/integration services, managed tech support, systems setup, automation and integration as well as cybersecurity support to overwhelmed solopreneurs and small businesses so that they can focus on what they do best.

She has her Bachelors degree in Information & Communication Technology and a Master’s degree from Concordia University where she studied Information Systems Security. She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs and businesses leverage technology to grow their businesses and make their processes more effective and efficient.

She has been featured on Invest Ottawa, Digital Main Street, Black Professionals in Tech Network, Canadian SME magazine to mention a few. She also gives back to the community as a mentor with Canada Learning Code and serves on the Board for Directors for Parents for Diversity.
