Co-Founder, Toronto Tech Fest & Founder, Sage Consulting Co

Business Growth Leader Specializing in Creating Genuine Relationships & Scaling Impacts.

Mrs. Truong has 15+ years experience in Sales, Marketing & Operations, Mell is currently Co-Founder & Chair of Toronto Tech Fest (the largest decentralized ‘unconference’ week of events across the city), bringing together 3500+ people across 90 events in 2024.

Mrs. Truong is also the Founder of Sage Consulting Co. where she supports and works with scaling startups across health, travel, fintech, cybersecurity, as well as early stage entrepreneurs building up their sales, sponsorships and client relationship functions. In addition, she has worked to co-produce AI Summits & Tech events across North America.

In 2023, she exited her last startup, Take It Easy Group, taking it from $15K MRR to $175K MRR in under 2 years before she left. Take It Easy Group supported Seed to Series A startups across North America to scale for success through offering fractional executive assistant & business partner services.

Previous to the above, Mrs. Truong cultivated 8+ years of Social Enterprise experience, leading the business growth team at ME to WE that ran international development trips to Ghana, India, Ecuador, Rural China, Kenya, and Nicaragua on a mission to partner with local community members to create positive social change. She held various roles around product development, sales growth, facilitation & product implementation, as well as supporting the production of social impact events under WE Day.

With Mrs. Truong's expertise in client relations, sales and business development, she is passionate about making impacts and helping startups grow.

Mrs. Truong leads with focus, authenticity, and grit, and has a passion for solving problems for her clients. In her (limited) spare time, she enjoys trying out new culinary experiences, spending time with her two kids, and is an avid traveler.
