About the Opportunity
The Cyber Security Global Alliance (CSGA) is seeking dedicated Cybersecurity Specialist Volunteers to support our mission of advancing global cyber defense, digital resilience, and international collaboration.
This volunteer role is ideal for cybersecurity professionals, students, researchers, analysts, and technologists who want to contribute their skills to meaningful global initiatives while expanding their professional experience and network.
About the Cyber Security Global Alliance
The Cyber Security Global Alliance (CSGA) is a globally recognized U.S.-registered nonprofit and one of the largest multi‑sector cybersecurity alliances in the world. CSGA unites experts, practitioners, institutions, and government partners to strengthen global cybersecurity readiness and promote ethical, standards‑driven digital defense.
Since its founding during the COVID‑19 pandemic, CSGA has expanded into a worldwide network operating across 21 countries on 4 continents. Our alliance delivers:

Global initiatives that protect communities, businesses, and critical infrastructure
CSGA is endorsed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and is preparing to launch its Cyber Defense Pilot Program in partnership with the Borough of Manhattan Community College’s Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development in September 2025, a major step toward developing the next generation of cyber defenders.
What Volunteers Will Do
Cybersecurity Specialist Volunteers may contribute to one or more of the following:
Cyber defense research and analysis
Threat intelligence collaboration
Cybersecurity awareness and training support
Digital investigations and reporting
Standards and policy working groups
Community outreach and global initiative support
This is a flexible, remote‑based volunteer opportunity open to participants worldwide.

Volunteer Requirements
To ensure the highest standards across our global initiatives, volunteers must meet the following criteria:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity
(e.g., SOC operations, threat intelligence, GRC, penetration testing, incident response, or related fields)Ability to provide verifiable professional and personal references
(professional verification ensures alignment with CSGA’s mission and security requirements)Completion of a 3‑month probationary period
This helps assess engagement, reliability, and alignment with CSGA’s ongoing initiatives.Submission of all required onboarding documentation
Ensures compliance with CSGA’s global volunteer standards.Minimum commitment of 3 hours per month
Contributing to CSGA initiatives, working groups, or collaborative projects.Bilingual or multilingual ability is an asset
English and French are considered strong advantages; additional languages are welcomed for global projects.Active participation in CSGA committees, special groups, or divisions
Volunteers may be assigned to areas where their expertise provides the most value.Willingness to participate in conferences, events, or summits when available

The Cyber Security Global Alliance (CSGA) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Cyber Security Internship Program. This program is being developed in collaboration with our Members, Strategic Partners, and leading universities and colleges across Canada and the United States.
The inaugural internship cohort begins May 26th, 2026, offering students and emerging professionals an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, mentorship, and exposure to global cybersecurity initiatives.
